Update on Play Area

My hubby has been working hard on the play area.
His weekends are the only time he can work on it.
Of course, there are soccer games,
and honey do lists to complete too.

All that is left is sand for the sand box,
a toddler swing on the end closest,
a pirate ladder by the latter,
and two slides on the far side of the tower and fort,
one slide is short and the other is a tunnel twisting slide.
After that mulch, lots of mulch.
Next on hubby's list is benches and bookshelves.
What fun he says.

Under Construction

Construction is under way for the
Barefoot Cowboys Fort.

The land has been cleared and properly prepped.

The first addition has begun.
This has a sand box under foot.
There will be an additional tower, swings, rock wall, and slides.

Hubby with the help of the oldest are hard at work.

Completion date.....
Well, according to the oldest,
the project is way behind schedule.

Patience son.
Rome was not built in a day.
Many blessings.

Home Projects

We have a big screened back porch
that we never got around to fixing up.
Well, we decided now was the time.
Here is Hubby after he has sanded, cleaned the wood,
and taped the edges.
Staining is next.

Starting what seems an endless job.

This is a neck and back breaker of a job.

My Hubby never takes the easy route.
He is hand brushing the stain with a small brush
Better to get the cracks he says.

Looking forward to the finish.
So do I says the Hubby.

My Hubby made the picnic table.

A swing will go down at this end.
Another painting project for Hubby.

This is the view from the picnic table.
The French doors in front are off the kitchen eating area.
The French doors to the right are off from the family room.
So, when the weather is right, all doors are opened.
