Honoring Our Brave

This weekend, the Georgia Bulldogs football team
will be wearing a sticker on their helmet
to honor the Georgia based
48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team
during their game against South Carolina.
The sticker is a replica of the
combat team's shoulder sleeve insignia.

There are approximately 3,000 Georgians
in this combat team.
My brother is one of them.
They are currently deployed in
Afghanistan.

To this date they have lost 7 soldiers
in the line of duty.

Thank you Bulldogs for honoring
not only the men and women of the 48th,
but all who sacrifice and have sacrificed for our country.

Go Dawgs!!!!

sad to see no other comments, but glad to be able to. My hubby is in the Airforce and I think this is an awesome tribute. My heart goes out to you and your family. May God bring all home safe and sound and heal the hearts of those that have lost loved ones. Will keep them in our prayers. Thank you for posting this. Let your brother and his unit know we remember why they are there, and know Afghanistan is a down played risk for our troops according to the gov't. It truly is hellish over there.
