Is It Really October?

Okay October where are you?
The house is decorated with the warm colors of Fall.
Pumpkins, scarecrows, spiders, and ghosts.
All these tell me it is October,
but the weather is August.
The high today was 94 degrees with 100% humidity.
You teased us the last week the of September.
You made me smile.
I even pulled out the jeans.

I know, I know I leave in the South.

This is what we wished we could have done today.

When we went to the park, sweat made us wet.
We dreamed of these fountains.

I turned the sprinklers on instead.
Not only for the children, but our grass is dry
from the heat.

Oh October, please come.
Even 80 degrees would be nice.

Oh, we are getting chilly here. It is supposed to be in the 50s this weekend - cold for us! I love sweaters and jeans weather. The leaves are turning and a day in the mountains will be in order when all this rain finally ends.

the water-works look like so much fun! Fall finally hit here this week, we are even having a bit of rain, it's so hard to believe when we were at the beach a week ago and it was hot! I don't know if the fall weather will stay, it might get hot again, we'll see. Fall is my favorite season, but it is short here and not very showy.

Hi there from South Africa where Spring has definitely sprung-our trees in the garden are almost covered in green leaves! Yay! That means we're closer to summer. But it also means windy days-so we're also longing for the days when we can run in the sprinklers again. Thanks for dropping by on my blog, look forward to seeing you again.
